friday!!!

katie & i are sitting on the couch right now, snuggling under the blanket my mother crocheted for me & watching diego...totally chilling out this rainy friday...chilli is bubbling in the crock pot & we are probably going to make some pumpkin bread in a bit (the OFFICIAL start of autumn for us around here :)

anna always does these friday fill ins & i love it...i'm going to give it a go today :)

1. Our kitchen renovations starting, pumpkins everywhere, the trees bursting w/ color, halloween & apple picking are some of the things I'm most looking forward to in October (ok...seriously...October is probably my favorite month in the entire year...i love everything about it & could go on for days @ October :) .

2.  Sometimes I make the kids watch Charlie & Lola b/c i love it (maybe more than they do...lol).

3. I've always hated my kitchen/dining room floor....but on monday we all scrubbed the floor cinderella style (yes...ALL of us...the kids want to do it once a week now they had so much fun...lol & there is nothing sexier than your man on his knees scrubbing your floor i've got to tell ya...LOL!!!)..anyway, we got it so clean that now i love it and that's why there is a saying, "never say never"!

4.  When I'm down, I pick myself up by the bootstraps & carry on.

5.  The kitchen is where you'll find me most often.

6.  A rainy day is good for chilli & cornbread & snuggling on the couch w/ the kids watching star wars.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to chilli & cornbread & seeing nights in rodanthe w/ friends, tomorrow my plans include maybe a soccer game, a birthday party & hopefully a wire marathon w/ mike and Sunday, I want to watch football all day!

also on the agenda for this weekend is to start doing some christmas shopping & begin making some gifts...i've got plans to go crazy w/ the gift making, but need to get crackin' so i've got plenty of time to get it all done :)

OOOOH!!!!  & be sure to keep an eye out for BIG news over at onelittleword next week :)  we are looking to add to our creative team & we'd love to hear from YOU!!!!

october is my fave month too...love fall and...we, canadians, get to add thanksgiving into this month....such a great time of year!!!

ok, what is that veggie dish in the picture - my mouth is watering! gotta love october - all those autum colors make me so happy!!! my fav month too! i also love late july/early aug. it's smack in the middle of summer, and once feb/march comes i long for those "dog days of summer"!
