my tip/technique is up today over at onelittleword
i hope you like it :)
i'm often a bit stumped when it comes to the tips & techniques...
i really don't consider myself "technique saavy"...
i basically just move stuff around & then stitch or glue it down...
so here is where i need your help...
is there a creating related question or something you would like to learn that i could address?
is there something that i do in my projects that you would like to know about?
if you would leave a comment with your question or request, i'd really appreciate it...
im going to be putting together a RAK today & post a photo of the give-a-way...
on friday (11/14) i will chose a winner randomly from the comments to thank you for your time & help :)
anyway..i was trying to figure out what to post for today so i started creating with the left overs from my october kenner road kit & my november noel from tarisota to see if i could come up with something worth sharing...i was up until the odd couple came on (& you KNOW how late that is! lol!) trying to figure something out...
this is what i came up with...
no techniques tho...lol
but this one did prove fruitful :)
& i got to use petrina's adorable little chippy birdy from her new chipboard line that debuted last month...
again w/ the glitter i went...lol...i think i'm addicted!
a little scrap collaging & sewing for your wednesday :)
so i hope you have a great day!
& thanks in advance for your creating questions & requests :)
xoxo

Oy. I hear ya' on the technique thing. It's always the hardest part for me about Label Tulip. We have to identify, and talk about at least one technique on our projects each month. So, I'm afraid I'm not much help in that department. But, I love your pages! The button flower and glittery bird are especially fab!

that little chick looks so cute all in glittery blue there!!! Loving it!
And we have a very similar request over and over here - but it goes more like, "Can we have honey honey again please Mum!!?"

It might seem silly, but I have still yet to tackle sewing on my layouts, it just scares me to attempt it, without having seen it done before. I would venture a guess that I am not the only one. I totally love the look and have the supplies, but it just overwhelms me to think about what I need to do.

I am totally with the sewing. But specifically, what if you mess up? How do you fix it? What kind of creative things can you do with mistakes?
Also I love your color combos. I can't put my finger on it, but I can almost always pick your work out of a line up! So I guess its kind of a style question. When inspired by another layout or artist or whatever, what kind of adjustments do you do to make it your own? I have a few "lifted" layouts, and they stick out like sore thumbs!
And lastly, what is the most recent new technique that you have learned or tried? Even seeing something thats been done before is inspiring when done by a new artist with different vision.
I hope I was some help:)

Your little canvas are always so adorable. Do you have some tips on how to work without using a photo? I always get a bit stumped when it comes to not having the photo as a the central focus.

first i have to say i'm blown away by how big kelly looks - she is beautiful. - i look at maddie and think the same thing. seems like yesterday we were sharing pictures of our dogs during lamaz classes!
- i love, love, love the tree with the clear buttons - i will be lifting this for sure!
hope all is well - we still need to make a republic run!
