found this charlotte bronte poem on rebecca sower's blog tonight...my sister, rosemary, looking out for me again i think :)
LIFE
Life, believe, is not a dream
So dark as sages say;
Oft a little morning rain
Foretells a pleasant day.
Sometimes there are clouds of gloom,
But these are transient all;
If the shower will make the roses bloom,
O why lament its fall?
Rapidly, merrily,
Life's sunny hours flit by,
Gratefully, cheerily
Enjoy them as they fly!
What though Death at times steps in,
And calls our Best away?
What though sorrow seems to win,
O'er hope, a heavy sway?
Yet Hope again elastic springs,
Unconquered, though she fell;
Still buoyant are her golden wings,
Still strong to bear us well.
Manfully, fearlessly,
The day of trial bear,
For gloriously, victoriously,
Can courage quell despair!
& we've got LOTS of snow here today...& just heard we will be getting another big dose tomorrow night...the kids have huge snowman building plans tomorrow...
hope :)

What a beautiful and perfect poem G. I especially love the line "Yet Hope again elastic springs".
Gorgeous pic too...I'm going to assume Ryan is tasting the snow there - not poking his tongue out LOL!

Beautiful poem Gigi, thanks for sharing it! There is a quote that as helped me in those
times where there are clouds of gloom. "Courage is fear that has said it's prayers."
I hope courage for you, and those bits of joy. Like snow storms days before Christmas, and your children's silly laughter. Merry Christmas and courage to you!
