i've been on sort of a movie binge lately....really enjoying seeing films in the theater & i've been lucky to catch some good ones (& have a really accomodating husband who doesn't mind &, in fact, encourages me get out of the house & have fun with friends)...
* i can go on forever about my love for slumdog millionaire....this film is an absolute treasure & i would love to see it a million times more...
* i also got to see revolutionary road with a really good friend...both of us left the theater a little shell-shocked & at a loss for words...it is EXTREMELY intense...we saw it last friday night & i thought about it all weekend...trying to explain it to mike...jayne & i rehashed the whole thing & our thoughts about it again on monday...i love movies like that...ones that make you think & examine things...
* & this week i went with some neighborhood friends to see the curious case of benjamin button...the whole premise of this one is really strange & i've got mixed feelings about it...i really enjoyed the 1st half of the film but felt the second half was a little "blah"...but nonetheless it did provide some great thought provoking inspiration...like this quote from the very end of the film:
i LOVE that idea..."we can make the best or the worst of it"...& i think since december & my father's stroke, i've begun to really embrace that whole idea...i can make the best or the worst of it...the reality will be what it will be...but what can i learn from it? how can i embrace it, so to speak?
who knew brad pitt could inspire such a revelation...lol!
& also...while popping by petrina's blog i hopped to loretta grayson's blog...definitely check her blog out...i really am inspired by her use of stitching & patterned paper...really REALLY cool!
& then there is the just because photo :)
2 little crazies watching beauty & the beast :)
(if only i could get ryan to stop doing that weirdo too smile-y smile...lol)
happy friday!!
xxoxoxo
