hey there :)
still trucking along with the 52 week project....
this one is from a few weeks ago...back on week 18.
after rain, rain, rain...we had a sunny day and a little shopping trip to get some new things for little people who seem to grow inches overnight...and a new bit of sparkly for mom too.
after hemming & hawwing about "need v. want" for way too long, i pulled the trigger & bought some new earrings. they were completely out of the norm of what i usually wear. long, dangly, sparkly + beads...but they caught my eye & were reduced, reduced and then 50% off and kate oooooohed & ahhhhhhhed "mommy those are pretty!"...
as a one-income household, money is always tight & budgets are always bursting...but there is a place sometimes for pretty earrings on sale at the outlets for $10...
lots of times, it's the little things...
& i guess that's the bottom line, i'm trying to get better at the little things :)
happy wednesday!!

We also struggle with the "wants vs. needs on a single income" here. It's difficult to justify spending $10 on myself when I know it could be put to "better" use. But every once in awhile, we need to "splurge" on ourselves. Those earrings are a perfect example of money well spent. Swingy, sassy, sparkly... Love them! And you look FABULOUS wearing them!

awww dani! thanks so much! its a constant balancing act, i'm sure you are dealing with the same thing...when to deny & when to give in to spending on things that aren't "necessities"...but i know in the end, it is a worthwhile struggle. at least i keep reminding myself that...lol!!!
cheers to learning how know "when to hold 'em & when to fold 'em" :)

totally worth it if they make you smile :) and i always say that earrings (and shoes and handbags, etc. etc.) are always fantastic because they fit you know matter what and they don't need to go in the wash! great pic G!
