Well....it's been a while....a long while since I've blogged. So I thought I would hop back in the blogging pool with one of those great quick already established blogging post challenges. & since it is Thursday, Things I love Thursday it is :)
and it is a delicious one...
This past Spring I finally broke down & tried Greek yogurt. Whoa....love at first taste. This stuff is DELISH! At first I only tried the sweet ones like pineapple (my favorite) & vanilla. But then I ran into the grocer at my favorite local market. They were having a sale on the Chobani greek yogurts so I was stocking up my cart. He remarked how the stuff was flying off the shelves & how good it was. Then he shared his favorite way to enjoy it: the Plain Greek yogurt, sliced bananas, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of wheat germ. I mean really...just hearing it sounded healthy! But, "Plain???? seriously?" I said to him. PLAIN? that's gotta be yuck! right? He totally laughed at me then challenged me to try it "Yes! Plain! You have to try it. It IS really good!". And since I run into him at least once a week (& have for 10 years) I kinda knew I was stuck. I had to give it a go. So a little timidly I put 1 of the plain Greek yogurts into my cart.
And yes...he totally laughed at me.
But wow. It IS good! The plain has that perfect tang & with ribbons of honey it is out of this world. I haven't gotten around to adding the wheat germ, but I have added granola for a bit of crunch & that is sooooo good too.
So, yep...another example of this old dog learning a new trick :) What things do you love this Thursday?
Happy Thursday!
xoxo
